Awards

If you are a classroom teacher and have a class website, I would like to invite you to apply for our Cool Site Award. My students and I will also be on the lookout for cool educational sites to present this award to. Click HERE to see winners of our Cool Site Award.

Criteria for classroom websites:

1. Your site must be family friendly and all content must be appropriate for children of all ages.

2. Your site should have information that would of interest to students, parents, and teachers alike.

3. Your site should be easy to navigate. All pages and documents should download quickly (within 30 seconds.)

4. Your site must not include any broken links or links to sites that are not appropriate for children of all ages.

5. Your site must give credit where credit is due. You should list sites from which graphics were obtained. Also if you are posting information created by others, you must provide their contact information.

If you feel your classroom website meets all of the above criteria please email the following information to me: your name, your website address, the grade level you teach. Also tell me a little about you and your site. Please note Cool Site Award in the subject line. Special Note: If you receive the Cool Site Award, I will visit your site each academic year to be sure that you continue to meet the criteria for this award. If at any time your site no longer meets the criteria, I will contact you.

2. Your site must not have any broken links or links to sites that include content that is not appropriate for children of all ages.

3. Your site must not have sales banners. The majority of the content on your site must be free to the user.

4. Your site should be easy to navigate. All pages and documents should download quickly (within 30 seconds.)

This award is presented by invitation only. If you would like us to visit your site you may send us an email. Please list a contact name, your website address. Please tell me about your site. If you receive a Cool Site Award, I will visit your site each academic year to be sure that you continue to meet the criteria for this award. If at any time your site no longer meets the criteria, I will contact you.
